Hey there, do you like the TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender? Well, this either is or isn't the review for you then because I will be going over the movie The Last Airbender live action which is supposed to be based on the TV show. As I am a true avatar fan, this movie is HORRIBLE in my opinion, and in this review I'll state why.
Before you start reading this, you need to know that this review might have some spoilers from the TV show, so if you haven't watched it, I would say you should stop reading this now and go watch it first. It's a great show!
Now, let's continue. For starters, in this movie they changed the pronunciation of EVERYONE'S name. They said the name Aang weird, and they pronounced everyone else's name wrong too. Adding on to that, they cast it wrong. In the TV show, Sokka and Katara have darker skin tones than the Fire Nation which would mostly be described as white. But in the movie, the actors for the water tribe who should've had a darker skin tone were white, and the fire nation actors who should have been white were mostly darker. And this isn't even the start of what bothered me.
If you have already watched the TV show and are watching the movie, you can tell that they changed their personalities too. Sokka, the warm hearted funny guy, was turned into a cold hearted warrior. In the movie flashback scene, when Aang is with Monk Gyasto, Gyasto says that the avatar can't have children. But if you have watched the TV show you would know Zuko is Roku’s (the avatar before Aang) great, great grandson. So basically, this movie makes Zuko’s existence impossible. It honestly stinks. Even the bending, which was supposed to be coolest part, was stupid. Also the TV show was funny and cool but the movie drained all that humor out of it.
This movie ruins the show, and I honestly hate it. In the TV show, they had all these movements for the bending, and in the movie, it was just punching and kicking. They changed the name pronunciations and the casting was horrible. They drained all the humor out of it, and it was just a letdown. I rate this movie a 1 out of 5. So please, don't watch the movie, but I recommend watching the TV show. The TV show is great!
Do you like movies? Do you like Disney movies?
In today’s review I will be telling you MY OPINIONS and comparing Disney’s animated movies vs live-action movies from Disney. This a kid’s opinion.I’m going to tell you what to avoid, what I prefer and more. So let’s get into it and I hope you enjoy hearing my opinions! And just so you all know, I love Disney!
Which is better?
So in my opinion, I think remaking the original animated movies is ok. I don’t think it is a horrible decision. It is really cool how they can make it into real life. But they change the storyline a little, and the real question is why? Is Disney running out of ideas? Or do they just think it would be cool to remake the animated movie into a live-action film? One of the first live-action Disney films I watched was Cinderella. It came out on March 13, 2015. I loved it! From the scenery to the animation, and so much more it was truly such a good movie even if it was a remake from the classic animated story.
My top two favorite live-action Disney films are Aladdin and Cinderella. I 100% recommend watching those two. Not all the live-action movies from Disney interested me, only a few really looked interesting but the rest just didn’t look entertaining in my preference.
Now, I’m a huge fan of animated movies, especially Disney ones. No matter how old you are animated movies have a special place in our hearts. Let me list some of my favorite animated Disney movies.
I love Disney’s animated movies, which is your favorite?!
Before we are done, let’s talk a little more about live-action Disney movies!
Now, as I said I think making Live-action remakes of Disney films is ok. We took a poll all of us in the Fusion Review about how we think about live-action movies, and not one person thought it was good!
I was honestly surprised, I thought at least 1 person would’ve said they liked it!
I will be rating from a 1 to 10 on if you should watch the animated Disney movies and the live-action ones as well
So I would give a 4.5 out of 10 to watch the live-action remakes of Disney movies. They just aren’t all very good and I don’t find them super interesting, I would avoid watching Disney’s live-action remakes.
Now, my opinions on the animated Disney movies!
I give a 9 out of 10 to watch the animated movies. There is just something I love about animated Disney movies. They are so enjoyable to watch and I love all of them. I would definitely recommend watching!
So that was my opinion of Disney’s animated and live-action movies, truly this was just my opinion that I wanted to share. Which do you prefer? Animated or live-action? I’d love to know!
See you next time, It’s a small world laughter all! ;) Audrey
Movies are fun to watch. If you're stressed about something you can just sit down and watch a movie. It’s easy to set up and you can eat some snacks when you are watching a movie, and it's generally just fun! But if you want to have a good time, you need to find a good movie. You can watch some old movies, or you can take a chance watching some movies that you don’t know if they are going to be good or bad. Well, I am going to help you with that! I will tell you about a fun movie series that a bunch of people have watched and had a great time watching. It is called Star Wars. I am guessing that you heard of it before because it's very popular and has made over 10 billion US dollars! That is insane! So now I am going to tell you why it’s a good series!
Star Wars is a sci-fi adventure series of movies. The first one that they made was called Star Wars A New Hope and was actually the 4th chapter where a young man named Luke Skywalker has to save the galaxy before it's too late. He meets other people on the way like Han Solo, Chewbacca, 2 droids named R2 D2 and C3PO and others and with his new friends they have to save the galaxy before Darth Vader and the Imperial Forces take over. The movies have great special effects and lots of exciting battle scenes. They have great plot twists and many surprises in store too.
The movies are very fun to watch and easy to understand what is going on. And the The actors are great too. But the series starts in a weird place. Instead of the usual 1, 2 ,3 and so on. It goes 4, 5 ,6, then 1, 2, 3 and then 7, 8,9. I don’t know why it's like that. But it’s interesting.
Now it’s time to rate! The scenes are great, the actors and actresses are great, and the plot of it is just fantastic and exciting! Some of the movies are better than others but overall it is a great series of movies. So I rate it a 510 out of 510. They are really good movies to watch for everyone!
The Grinch is a musical that was on TV about a Grinch that does not like Christmas. He doesn't like it even a bit. He lives in a cave where he is alone with his dog Max. But outside of his cave is Whoville where the Whos’ live. Unlike the Grinch who hates Christmas, they love Christmas a lot. The Grinch hates the Whos’, so the Grinch hatches a plan to ruin Christmas for all of the Whos’. There is a little Who named Cindy Lou Who. Everyone does not like the Grinch (because of how he looks and he’s mean.) But Cindy Lou likes the Grinch.
On Christmas night while all of the Whos’ are sleeping in their beds, the Grinch steals all of their presents, food, trees, and more. Cindy Lou wakes up and catches him. She asks him what he’s doing and he says he is going to repair the tree. After the Grinch is done taking all of their presents, food and trees, he waits for the Whos’ to wake up and see that their presents and more have been stolen and vandalized. But when daybreak comes everyone is outside and they start singing. The Grinch is confused about why they are not sad. “I stole their presents”, he thinks. Then he realizes, it’s not about the presents and the food. It’s about being together.
The Grinch is one of the greatest Christmas stories. The Grinch has many movie versions of it too. Some are animated and some are live action. It’s a great movie but in my opinion the best version is the Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Musical Special. It’s done by Broadway performers. They were all great, especially Matthew Morrison, who played the Grinch. The scenery and sets were great too. These sets really made the musical come to life. The costumes, especially the Grinch’s ,were really well done. My favorite scene was the part where the Grinch was in his cave. My next favorite part is the music. The songs and dances are the most important parts in the musical. And they did those really good too. My favorite song is, You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.
Do you want to find a fun and different Halloween movie for kids or even adults?!! Well, we all know that halloween is coming up and one good halloween movie is The Haunted Mansion. It is a PG Disney family friendly movie directed by Rob Minkoff in 2003 starring Eddie Murphy.
The film is based on the attraction/ride that also came out in 2003, the movie is about a workaholic named Jim Evers, who is a real estate agent that has barely any time for his wife, teenage daughter, and his son who has arachnophobia (an intense and irrational fear of spiders.). After missing his own anniversary because of a business deal, he promises to take the family for a weekend at the lake. Of course, with Jim it never goes that way. For business they went inside the haunted mansion castle and met Master Edward Gracey, and his stern, all business, butler Ramsley and more characters on their adventure throughout the mansion. It rained throughout the night and Master Gracey invited them to stay for the night. When Jim gets trapped in a secret passageway in the library, Jim’s two kids encounter a “Ghost Ball” . On top of all that Master Gracey is feeling emotions for Sara (Jim’s wife), who he thinks is his true love “Elizabeth” from long ago.
This movie has a good meaning to it, has fear involved, and laughable moments. The movie has won awards such as, Young Artists Award. Using the popular ride as inspiration really creates a ‘horror-comedy’ in the movie and shows what can happen when people and ghosts collide. I rate this movie a 5 out of 5, it’s awesome!
This is a review on Avatar: The Last Airbender and why I think it's an amazing show. It came out in the year 2005 on Nickelodeon and aired until 2008. I first found out about it from my friend who was watching this year and he said it was a really good show so I decided to try it one night. During quarantine I binge watched the entire series. Now I am enjoying re-watching the series with my mom, who also finds the show fun to watch.
The show is based in an asiatic (Asian related) world where there are four elements: Water, Earth, Fire and Air. Some people who are gifted can bend these elements. There is a leader of the world, the “Avatar”, who can bend all of the elements. The Avatar is supposed to keep the world in peace and is a bridge from the physical world and the spiritual world. The protagonist Aang, the current Avatar, is a 12 year old boy and the last airbender in the world. Aang and his friends, Sokka and Katara and others strive to end the Fire Nation’s war against the other nations of the world.
My favorite character is General Iroh. He is a really amazing, wise, smart and tea loving guy. I would rate this show a 5 out of 5! You can still watch this show on Netflix.
